The Sharp Subdivision runs from Provo,UT to Lynndyl,UT and the total milage of the sub is roughly 88 miles. Trains departing from Provo and headed towards Lynndyl are classified as running Westbound and trains deparrting Lynndyl and headed towards Provo are classified as Eastbound trains.
The Utah Southern Railroad started on January 17, 1871 with plans to run from Salt Lake City into Southern Utah. When all was said and done the Utah Southern Railroad ran from Salt Lake City to Juab. From Juab to Frisco, UT the Utah Southern Railroad Extension was the one to build out the line.
